Baptism

Welcome to the Family!

Through Baptism we are lovingly adopted by God into God’s family and reminded that nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ. Holy Baptism marks a formal entrance to the congregation and wider Church. All people of any age are welcome to be baptized. It is a joyous occasion in which the congregation promises to support the baptized.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Confirmation and Becoming an Episcopalian

In the rite of Confirmation and/or Reception into the Church, persons make a mature affirmation of their faith and renew the Baptismal Covenant. Following instruction, young adults who were baptized at an early age may be confirmed. Adults of any age may be confirmed, affirm their faith, or be received into the church. The congregation promises to support the candidates in their journey of faith. Confirmation and Reception into the Episcopal Church are performed during a Bishop’s visit.

 

 

 

 

Marriage

Marriage is a solemn, joyous, and public covenant between two people in the presence of God. It is intended for their mutual joy and respect, help and comfort, holy love, and, where there are children, for their care and nurture in the love of God.

 

Peter will meet with you three times for pre-marital counseling and to discuss your schedule.
